MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
The management demonstrates its commitment to meeting customer expectations by, for example:
- Communicating the importance of meeting customer expectations as well as statutory and regulatory requirements
- Defining the quality policy and quality objectives
- Establishing and maintaining a quality management system
- Performing management reviews
- Ensuring the availability of the required resources
- Providing proof of QM system effectiveness and improvements
- Providing information and training for staff
QM SYSTEM
In order to ensure compliance with international standards, the QM system is regularly subjected to certification in accordance with DIN 9001:2008. The special features of DIN 9001:2008 are process orientation (holistic optimisation of processes and process interfaces) and continuous repetition of individual steps. In order to guarantee standard work procedures, the processes are described in the Quality Manual. The Quality Manual contains the following:
- Process descriptions
- Process flow charts
- Quality objectives
- Quality policy
- Procedures and work instructions
- Quality records
- Audit plans
- Audit instructions
- Packaging regulations
In addition to certification in accordance with DIN 9001:2008, we also regularly undergo certification by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) in accordance with the requirements of German and international road traffic legislation. This means that we are authorised to produce and sell the rigid plastic glazings (other than windscreens) described in ECE R-43, Appendix 14.
PROVISION OF RESOURCES
In order to ensure that the requirements of these certifications are implemented in our daily work, we maintain lean processes and short communication channels in all areas. Daily project meetings are held to define the methods for realisation of individual customer requirements and discuss the special features of forthcoming projects and orders. The required resources are determined and made available at short notice. Trained employees are available in all areas for product realisation. Internal and external training takes place regularly in order to maintain employee qualifications. The availability of production equipment is guaranteed by regular maintenance and scheduled servicing. Our production facilities are continuously extended in order to meet the extremely varied requirements of the market.
PRODUCT REALISATION
A high level of flexibility is guaranteed by lean processes. Solutions for any problems that occur are found and implemented quickly in cooperation with our employees. This means that we are in a position to successfully meet the daily challenges of a constantly changing product range and optimum realisation of customer wishes. Coordinated and controlled production is ensured through the use of part tracking slips containing details of work processes, process parameters, special process or product characteristics as well as inspection specifications. Measured results are documented in inspection or measured value lists. Documentation of procedures and work instructions is available in all work areas. These documents contain in particular instructions for avoidance of non-conformances.

MONITORING AND MEASUREMENT
Compliance with the requirements applicable to products is regularly checked by measurements performed during the production process. The required inspections are determined and integrated in the production documentation. The customer requirements and known process risks are taken into account in selection of the inspection criteria. Internal audits are used to monitor processes and to establish possible weaknesses so that these can be rectified through optimisation. The focus of these audits is above all compliance with and realisation of customer requirements. Process audits based on VDA 6.3 are performed in series production to check implementation of the items defined in the planning phase as well as the effectiveness of the quality assurance methods. Customer satisfaction is very important to us. For this reason, we conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys. We are naturally pleased to receive positive feedback, but also particularly welcome constructive suggestions. We take any criticism very seriously, because the customer is the focus of everything we do.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Economically efficient production is possible only by avoiding complaints and increasing customer satisfaction. That is why our products and processes are subject to a continuous improvement process. The important aspects of this include:
- Optimisation of products, processes and manufacturing techniques with respect to economic efficiency and avoidance of non-conformances through review of completed orders and inspection results
- Implementation of long-term corrective measures where possible to prevent re-occurrence of non-conformances in the event of internal and external complaints
- Implementation of quality objectives
- Implementation of the recognised improvement potential of internal audits
- Realisation of the objectives and improvements defined in the management review
- Utilisation of the findings of data analysis on the basis of key performance indicators
The familiar PDCA control loop is applied for the continuous improvement process:
Plan (P) - Do (D) - Check (C) - Act (A)
Our aim is to establish long-term partnerships with our customers. By implementing and observing the quality requirements, we create the preconditions for ensuring that we succeed in achieving our aim.
