Edging

We have two different edging benches for linear edging of sheet materials.
Here, the material is heated in specific zones and then cooled in special fixtures or on bending tables.
The materials are heated using silica glass heaters, allowing very short cycle times to be achieved.
At Kirsch Kunststofftechnik, up to 4 bending operations can be performed simultaneously using this method.

High-pressure forming

This process is increasingly being used for materials where drawing is difficult.
Here, a two-part tool is clamped in a press and the soft sheet is blown into the corresponding form by means of compressed air.

This special process has already been used for decades at Kirsch Kunststofftechnik and requires a high degree of cleanliness and precision.

Vacuum deep drawing

Vacuum deep drawing is performed on a modern deep-drawing machine with a table size of 1000 x 660 mm. This table allows use of both negative and positive moulds. Vacuum deep drawing is ideally suited for realisation of three-dimensional forms by means of simple tools.
Tool making and design are largely carried out in our own tool shop.

Subsequent processing is then normally performed with our 5-axis machining centre on specially-made vacuum holders.

Forming

As other production variants, we also offer oven forming with two-dimensional moulds. We have two large ovens on our premises and can form products up to a size of 3000 mm x 2000 mm.

Special filter systems and a high level of cleanliness are required here in order to form transparent sheets without dust inclusions.

Our specialist knowledge is also required if it is necessary to ensure that the products are stress-free. Our ovens are equipped with sophisticated control systems in order to form the materials with specific heating and cooling characteristics. These parameters must also be observed exactly in stress-free tempering of plastic parts. We also naturally offer rolling of plastic sheets in order to form softened sheet material into the desired shape using moulds.
