Vehicle glazing

Vehicle glazing is increasingly being made of plastic. In future, more and more glazing elements will be manufactured in polycarbonate due to reasons of greater design freedom, built-in functionality and weight savings. Polycarbonate glazing elements are becoming more and more popular in the area of roof elements in particular. This material also permits realisation of unusual design ideas which are not technically possible in glass.

Approval

KIRSCH Kunststofftechnik GmbH is certified by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority and is authorised to produce glazing elements that comply with road approval requirements. Various ECE-R43 approvals exist for different materials that can be used to produce vehicle glazing. We can perform new approvals on your behalf in accordance with road traffic regulations. In this case, we provide you with expert advice so that there are no problems with road approval later on. KIRSCH Kunststofftechnik GmbH offers the corresponding approvals and marking for all possible approved glazing elements made of plastic.
